Introduction.
BrazeCoat® is a unik "Hardfacing" technic where carbide materiel are coated on steel parts by the use of vacuum brazing.
For bigger parts the most wearing areas are proctected with flexible Carbide-mats which are formed according to the geometry of the part(BrazeCoat®-M).
The surface of the part will after the process look like sintered carbide and can be uses as such or can be grounded.
For smaller precision parts is added a thin layer of carbide suspension(BrazeCoat®-S). This layer give the surface the requested wear resistance.
BrazeCoat-M.
It is now possible to coat carbide strips on most types and shapes of tools. This is especially useful for applications where a wearing surface is needed, e.g. scrapers in the cement industry, plough-shares or any other parts particularly exposed to abrasion.
Uniquely, the carbide is available in the form of sheets which can be placed on exposed surface area and subsequently vacuum soldered on.
